MGP has been an accredited contractor to Sydney Water for over 20 years. This accreditation means we are an official, and recognised, Sydney Water Water Servicing Coordinator (referred to as a WSC).

For non-standard Sydney Water structures/assets there are additional stages, costs and timeframes; this process is called Out of Scope Building Plan Approval (BPA)

What are Sydney Water Services?

Sydney Water is a statutory state-owned corporation, owned by the NSW Government, that provides essential water, wastewater, recycled water, and some stormwater services to Greater Sydney, the Illawarra, and the Blue Mountains regions. 

What they do:
Sydney Water’s primary function is to provide safe drinking water, manage wastewater, and handle stormwater and recycled water services. 

Who they serve:
They serve over 5 million people across Greater Sydney, the Illawarra, and the Blue Mountains. 

Area of Operations:
Their area of operations covers 12,700 km2, encompassing Sydney, the Illawarra, and the Blue Mountains regions. 

Water Sources:
The water supply for Sydney comes from sources like Warragamba Dam, other dams, the Hawkesbury-Nepean River, and the Sydney Desalination Plant at Kurnell.
