As part of the NSW Government’s commitment to revitalising public education, the NSW Budget is investing $2.1 billion in new and upgraded schools across regional NSW. This significant funding will help ensure that growing communities have access to world-class public education.

A major investment in the future of the Snowy Mountains region, a new purpose-built education campus is being developed in Jindabyne. The campus will feature separate facilities for Jindabyne Public School and Jindabyne High School, offering modern learning environments designed to support students, teachers, and the wider community.

The campus will also include a new Connected Learning Centre (CLC), delivered by TAFE NSW, alongside specialised Vocational Education and Training (VET) facilities. These facilities will support practical, industry-relevant learning in areas such as hospitality, construction, entertainment, and primary industries.

MGP’s Role

MGP was engaged to deliver critical water infrastructure solutions for the new Jindabyne Education Campus, ensuring compliance with Snowy Monaro Regional Council requirements.

Our scope included managing authority approvals and designing water and wastewater services, notably a 1km water main diversion and a sewer diversion tailored to the site’s needs.

To improve performance and reduce maintenance, we specified Rehau prefabricated polymer manholes—an advanced alternative to traditional concrete.

Working within a constrained service corridor, our team carefully coordinated designs around existing utilities, including stormwater and communications, to deliver a practical, integrated solution. With multiple services being installed simultaneously, we ensured effective cross-discipline coordination to avoid clashes and maintain construction efficiency.
